About the Role

Throne Solutions is seeking an experienced and security-driven Cybersecurity Engineer to join our IT infrastructure and cloud security team in Manila. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing cloud, network, and on-premise systems while ensuring data protection, compliance, and resilience across enterprise environments.

This role involves hands-on configuration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of security frameworks across Azure, AWS, and GCP platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage cloud security controls across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
Configure and monitor firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS), and endpoint protection tools.
Administer SIEM systems to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
Secure and maintain databases (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) with proper access controls and encryption.
Develop and enforce backup, recovery, and data protection strategies.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk mitigation activities.
Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to ensure secure system design and operations.
Stay updated on the latest security threats, exploits, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure security, or system administration.
Proficiency with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
Strong understanding of network security, firewall configurations, and endpoint protection.
Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, or AlienVault).
Solid grasp of database security, storage, and backup management.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and incident response skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications (Must Have at Least One):

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Architect
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing Zero Trust architectures and cloud security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for security operations.
