Role Overview
The Operations Head - Precision Manufacturing will be responsible for driving operational excellence across Custiv's precision manufacturing projects. This role requires end-to-end ownership of supplier management, production execution, on-time delivery, and quality assurance while ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with international standards (ISO 9001).The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of precision manufacturing processes, vendor development, and project execution, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and scale operations.Key Leadership: Own and optimize the entire operations lifecycle from order intake to on-time delivery of precision-engineered parts.Vendor & Supplier Management: Develop, qualify, and manage supplier base (MSMEs and SMEs) ensuring adherence to Custiv's quality and delivery standards.Production Planning & Control: Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and shop-floor execution with vendors to meet delivery timelines.Quality & Compliance: Ensure ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements are met through strict QA/QC processes and audits.Cost & Value Engineering: Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining precision and quality standards.Team Leadership: Build and mentor a strong operations team across sourcing, project management, and quality.Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing, process automation, and data-driven decision-making to improve operational efficiency.Customer Engagement: Collaborate with business development and project teams to ensure smooth customer handover and satisfaction.
Key Requirements
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering (Master's preferred).Experience: 10-15 years in precision manufacturing operations, preferably with global OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
Technical Knowledge
- CNC machining, sheet metal, fabrication, casting, and precision component manufacturing.
- ISO 9001, lean manufacturing, and vendor quality Strong leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Hands-on experience with supplier development and vendor audits.
- Excellent project management, time management, and execution skills.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven reporting.
- Other: Willingness to travel frequently to vendor sites.
