Role Overview

We are looking for a Cost Estimation Executive to join our HVAC team. This role is central to ensuring that our projects are estimated accurately and competitively. You will be responsible for preparing cost sheets, BOQs, and quotations while working closely with our Sales, Purchase, and Project Execution teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to balance accuracy with efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Costing: Prepare BOQs, cost sheets, and estimates (materials, labour, overheads), ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Vendor Management: Maintain updated vendor rate sheets; negotiate and validate pricing.
• Quotations: Draft client quotations/proposals with necessary internal approvals.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of POs, agreements, and costing data.
• Coordination: Work with Sales, Purchase, and Execution teams; liaise with vendors for updates.
• Cost Control: Monitor budgets and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Tendering: Support tender submissions with complete BOQs and documents.
• Reporting: Submit regular costing reports; highlight variances and corrective actions
• Improvement: Maintain error-checklists and stay updated on industry trends/regulations. 

Expectations from the Role

• Deliver estimates with the most accuracy and on time.
• Keep vendor rate sheets updated without delays.
• Maintain confidentiality of all costing and pricing data.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cost estimation (preferably HVAC projects).
• Working knowledge of HVAC design, equipment selection, and system calculations.

Skills Required

• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP software.
• Good understanding of HVAC systems, pricing, and market trends.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
