Job Description

Position - Contract Manager/ AGM

Location - Chennai ( saidapet )

Experiences -(15- 25 years)

Qualification - B.E / B.Tech Civil


Job Distribution


1. Contract Drafting & Negotiation:


* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.


* Ensure that all terms and conditions are in line with company policies, legal guidelines, and project requirements.


* Identify and mitigate contractual risks.


2. Contract Administration:


* Oversee the execution of contracts and ensure compliance with the contractual terms by all parties.


* Track milestones, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure smooth project execution.


* Manage variations, claims, extensions of time, and other contractual adjustments.


* Monitor performance and manage contract closeout procedures.


3. Risk Management:


* Identify potential contract-related risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.


* Advise project management teams on risk areas and provide recommendations to minimize exposure.


4. Dispute Resolution:


* Handle disputes and claims, working closely with legal teams and external advisors when required.


* Manage conflict resolution in a timely manner to avoid litigation and maintain good relations with stakeholders.


5. Liaison with Internal and External Stakeholders:


* Work closely with project teams, procurement, finance, and legal departments to ensure alignment on contractual obligations.


* Serve as the primary point of contact for all contract-related communications with clients and subcontractors.


6. Compliance & Documentation:


* Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.


* Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents.


* Prepare regular reports on contract status, highlighting any issues or concerns.


7. Budget & Cost Control:


* Collaborate with project management and finance teams to ensure that contractual obligations align with the project’s financial objectives.


* Monitor contract costs and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.


Required Skills


* Strong knowledge of contract law, particularly in the EPC or construction industry.


* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.


* Proven ability to manage complex contracts and resolve disputes.


* Experience working with FIDIC and other standard contract forms.


* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.


* Proficient in contract management software and tools.


* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
