Role Overview
As the Content Writer, you will lead the content function and support public relations and corporate communication efforts. You’ll be instrumental in creating high-impact content and storytelling across digital channels, campaigns, and media outreach. Your work will help strengthen Embee’s voice in the B2B tech space and boost brand awareness among key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Planning (10%)
- Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with business priorities, campaigns, and product launches.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all content initiatives.
- SEO Content Creation (20%)
- Create high-quality, SEO-optimized content including blogs, website pages, and pillar content.
- Use tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console to improve content visibility and keyword targeting.
- Website Content & Digital Marketing Support (10%)
- Own and manage content for the corporate website—page updates, service descriptions, banners, and landing pages.
- Collaborate with digital and web teams to improve site engagement, messaging consistency, and lead conversion.
- Support content creation for performance marketing campaigns, landing pages, and emailers.
- Thought Leadership & Corporate Content (15%)
- Write whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, and ghostwritten articles for leadership.
- Draft bylined articles and op-eds for external publications to establish Embee’s thought leadership.
- Public Relations & Media Outreach (15%)
- Collaborate with PR agencies/internal teams to draft press releases, media pitches, and background documents.
- Support media opportunity identification, coordinate interviews, and assist with media placement of thought leadership pieces.
- Monitor media coverage and contribute to PR performance reports.
- Social Media Content (10%)
- Create platform-specific content (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.) to amplify campaigns, media mentions, and product news.
- Drive social sharing of executive quotes, interviews, press mentions, and awards.
- Brand Messaging & Tone (5%)
- Ensure brand consistency across content formats.
- Support messaging evolution based on market and product shifts.
- Performance Monitoring (5%)
- Track key metrics like traffic, engagement, backlinks, media pickups, and brand mentions.
- Recommend content and PR optimizations based on data insights.
- Cross-functional Collaboration (10%)
- Work closely with design, product marketing, digital, and sales teams to deliver integrated, multimedia content.
Requirements
- 4+ years of B2B content writing experience, preferably in the tech/SaaS domain.
- Hands-on exposure to PR tasks like press release writing, media coordination, or brand communications.
- Portfolio showcasing a variety of formats: blogs, whitepapers, case studies, presentations and leadership content.
- Strong understanding of SEO, digital content trends, and the B2B buying journey.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience with tools like WordPress, HubSpot, SEMrush, or Pardot is a plus.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields.
