About The Practice Area
Frost & Sullivan’s Industrial Growth Advisory practice is a powerful congruence of thought leadership, insights, and actionable strategic recommendations that enable our clients to successfully grow in the Industrial markets ranging from automation and manufacturing, electronics and measurement, machines, semiconductors, and digital industrial technologies. About The Role
As a Consulting Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering in-depth background research and analysis to support client projects. At this stage, the key objective is to hone your analytical and critical thinking abilities, while developing fundamental business skills. You will gain exposure to a variety of challenging client issues, as well as enhance both your hard functional skills and soft skills, including presentations and client interactions.
The final level and position title will be determined based on the outcomes of interviews and assessments
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Utilize analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Research and Industry Analysis: Conduct thorough research on industry trends, market developments, and competitor strategies to support client projects and internal initiatives.
- Problem-Solving and Strategic Thinking: Apply problem-solving skills to tackle challenging business issues, developing innovative and practical solutions.
- Project Management: Coordinate and manage project activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs while adhering to budget and resource constraints.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in strategy consulting and apply them to ongoing projects.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business models and strategic objectives.
- Presentation and Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and compelling presentations and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Required Competencies
The ideal candidate should have a strong educational foundation in business, economics, engineering or technology, coupled with a passion for solving complex problems and creating actionable insights for clients. This role requires someone who is curious, methodical, and able to think strategically, connecting dots between data, industry trends, and business impact. Strong client-handling skills, including communication, adaptability, and credibility in stakeholder interactions, are critical.
- A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in Business marketing, Economics, Engineering, or technology. A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) is highly regarded and considered an advantage
- 1 – 3 years of analyst/consulting working experience within a Consulting and/or Advisory services business environment.
- The ability to research and write a coherent story in proper English about a topic is critical.
- A foundational understanding of the manufacturing, industrial and process industries, such as industry structure, operational practices, and competitive landscapes.
- The ability to network to create new relationships and to proactively manage on-going relationships to stay relevant to market intelligence needs of the clients.
- An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
- The desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera.
- Confident enough to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner.
- A team player who views team collaboration as an important path to professional development.

- Analytical Skills - Demonstrate tenacity & creativity in information gathering. Conduct secondary research with minimum supervision. Effective at primary research, conducting interviews in a professional manner. Understand the typical industry value chain, key functions and operations within them, broad trends impacting the industry and the challenges faced at a sub-sector/ functional level. Able to perform quantitative analysis to come up with inferences/ hypothesis relevant to the project/ task. Able to identify problems, and propose some solutions. Basic understanding of Growth Pipeline Engine framework and Growth Pipeline Dialog
- Interpersonal Skills - Complete tasks assigned in a timely and independent manner, provides inputs into planning of tasks and is able to flag up any potential delays or early on. Unprompted and effective quality check. checks for logical flow, attention to storyline, design/ tidiness. Quality & relevance should be of a satisfactory standard and limited changes are required for deliverables to be 'client ready'. Able to communicate critical thinking clearly and effectively. Able to work well with others and lead small modules.
- Client Handling Skills -Develop specific logical sections for proposals - with limited supervision. Able to conduct a discussion with clients on scoping simple engagements. Highly professional interactions with clients, make him/herself available for the client.
- Corporate Development - Demonstrate an active interest in learning the core functions (industry knowledge) of the Practice Area.
