Role Description
Job Title: Lead Business Analyst – Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRMRole OverviewThe Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Lead Business Analyst is responsible for leading business process analysis, requirements management, and solution design support for Dynamics 365 CRM implementations. This role serves as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that CRM solutions are aligned with business objectives, scalable, and optimized for performance, usability, and user adoption.The Lead Business Analyst plays a critical role across the delivery lifecycle, from discovery and design through testing, deployment, and change management.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Process Analysis & Requirements Management
- Lead business process discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews across multiple business functions.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct detailed fit-gap analysis against standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM capabilities.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Solution Design & Implementation Support
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Functional/Technical Consultants to support CRM configuration and customization design.
- Review and validate functional designs to ensure alignment with approved business requirements.
- Support solution walkthroughs, design reviews, sign-offs, and deployment readiness activities.
- Participate in data migration planning, data validation, and business sign-off processes.
- Define and document integration requirements with internal and external systems.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy, including entry and exit criteria.
- Develop UAT scenarios and support test case preparation.
- Coordinate and support UAT execution with business users.
- Validate test results, manage defect triage from a business perspective, and support resolution activities.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and project delivery teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, scope changes, and change requests.
- Support training strategy, end-user training delivery, and preparation of user documentation.
- Contribute to organizational change management initiatives and user adoption activities.
Governance & Best Practices
- Ensure solutions adhere to Microsoft Dynamics 365 best practices, governance frameworks, and organizational standards.
- Promote standardization, reusability, and continuous improvement across CRM implementations.
Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall experience in business analysis and CRM implementations.
- Minimum of 4–5 end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM implementations in a Lead Business Analyst role.
Functional Expertise
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM modules:
- Sales (mandatory)
- Customer Service and Marketing (preferred)
- Strong understanding of the Dynamics 365 CRM data model, security roles, business rules, workflows, and process automation.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
Technical Awareness
- Good understanding of CRM integrations, APIs, data migration strategies, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Azure-based integration patterns is an added advantage.
