Role Overview:

As CTO, you will be responsible for architecting and delivering a secure, scalable, and innovative technology stack that brings together cutting-edge game development, blockchain integration, and immersive virtual world experiences. You’ll work closely with other executives, product leads, and community stakeholders to align technology decisions with our long-term mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Leadership & Strategy

• Define and implement the overall technical vision for a scalable, secure, and decentralized metaverse platform.
• Drive innovation at the intersection of blockchain, real-time 3D engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal), and multiplayer gaming infrastructure.
• Make build vs. buy decisions on infrastructure, protocol layers, and interoperability tools.

Blockchain & Web3 Integration

• Design and oversee implementation of smart contracts, token economies, NFTs, wallets, and decentralized identity.
• Ensure secure interactions between on-chain and off-chain systems, with emphasis on user safety, scalability, and decentralization principles.

Gaming & Metaverse Architecture

• Lead the development of immersive 3D environments, real-time multiplayer systems, and content creation tools.
• Collaborate with design and art teams to enable creative tools and gameplay mechanics that leverage blockchain features.

Team Building & Leadership

• Build and scale a multidisciplinary engineering team including blockchain developers, backend engineers, game developers, and DevOps.
• Create a strong technical culture centered around experimentation, security, open-source contributions, and fast iteration.

Operations & Infrastructure

• Ensure high availability and performance of core systems, APIs, and services.
• Oversee deployment, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring pipelines across cloud and decentralized environments.

Stakeholder & Community Collaboration

• Translate complex technical concepts into business terms for executive leadership, investors, and community.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners, open-source communities, and blockchain protocols to ensure interoperability and shared standards.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Proven leadership experience in CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent roles in gaming, blockchain, or Web3 companies.
• Deep experience with blockchain technologies (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Layer 2s) and smart contract development (Solidity, Rust, etc.).
• Strong expertise in 3D game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, multiplayer networking, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of tokenomics, digital asset security, and Web3 UX flows.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to lead technical teams and interface with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working with DAOs, decentralized identity, or open metaverse standards (e.g., OpenXR, glTF, IPFS).
• Contributions to open-source projects in the Web3 or gaming space.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance issues in crypto-based platforms.
