Position Title: Chief Operating Officer – India Manufacturing Operations Location: Bangalore, India Employment Type: Full-Time | Executive Leadership Industry: Renewable Energy / Industrial Manufacturing / Clean Tech Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the full manufacturing and supply chain operations across three major production facilities in India. This role requires a proven manufacturing leader who has grown from Plant Manager-level responsibilities into broader operational leadership, combining deep factory floor expertise with strategic oversight. The COO will be responsible for ensuring world-class performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, while enabling scalable and resilient operations aligned with global clean energy growth. Key Responsibilities: Take full P&L responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain across three factories, leading all operations teams including production, engineering, quality, EHS, and logistics. Direct the end-to-end supply chain, from procurement and supplier development to inventory, warehousing, and distribution. Build and lead high-performing teams with a strong focus on plant-level execution, lean operations, and continuous improvement. Serve as the critical bridge between factory operations and global business functions, aligning capacity, cost, and delivery with strategic objectives. Champion operational excellence, including implementation of lean manufacturing, automation, digitization, and performance analytics across sites. Drive on-time delivery and cost competitiveness for both domestic and export markets. Ensure all operations adhere to regulatory, EHS, and compliance standards. Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a minimum of 5 years as Plant Manager or equivalent, and recent experience in a multi-site leadership role. Strong industry background in renewable energy, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing (wind, EV, battery, large components preferred). Proven track record in scaling plant operations, building new factories (greenfield/brownfield), and leading full-site management. Deep understanding of supply chain strategy, materials management, and vendor performance. Hands-on leader with strong floor-level execution skills and a high standard for quality and discipline. Engineering degree required; MBA or advanced operations/leadership training preferred. Show more Show less
