OVERVIEW

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale operations for a luxury real estate organisation based in Mumbai. This role is designed for a senior leader currently operating at a COO or Senior Vice President – Operations level, with a strong track record in managing large, cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence across high-value real estate projects. The COO will be responsible for aligning people, processes, and performance across key business functions, ensuring the seamless execution of the company’s growth and brand vision.


Key responsibilities:


Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Translate the organisation’s vision into executable operational strategies across business units.
  • Drive operational efficiency, scalability, and governance across luxury real estate developments.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to quality benchmarks.


Cross-Functional Oversight

  • Provide leadership and direction across:

- Sales

- Marketing & Brand

- Human Resources

- Customer Experience

- Business Operations & Administration

  • Ensure alignment and collaboration across departments to achieve organisational goals.


Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to strengthen go-to-market strategies, sales performance, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure the delivery of a premium customer experience consistent with the luxury brand's positioning.


People & Culture

  • Oversee HR strategy, including talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, and organizational culture.
  • Build a high-performance leadership team and foster accountability across functions.


Process, Governance & Risk

  • Establish and improve SOPs, operational frameworks, and compliance mechanisms.
  • Monitor operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions where required.


Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key liaison between leadership, internal teams, external partners, and consultants.
  • Support the CEO/MD in strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and organizational transformation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
  • 15–22 years of progressive experience in real estate, construction, infrastructure, or luxury asset development.
  • Currently working as a COO or Senior VP – Operations in the real estate industry.
  • Strong exposure to managing multi-departmental operations.
  • Proven experience in luxury, premium, or high-value real estate projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex operational environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
