Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Chief of Staff with core expertise in Business Finance. This role demands a finance professional with sharp commercial acumen and operational insight who can partner with business leaders to drive profitable growth. The ideal candidate will optimize cost structures, improve gross margins, and serve as the financial nerve centre connecting operations, revenue, and strategy. Experience in EdTech or technology-driven industries is essential. Key Responsibilities: Business Finance Leadership: • Act as a strategic finance partner to all business unit heads by providing clear financial visibility, actionable insights, and decision support. • Drive financial accountability across operational teams through regular performance reviews, forecasting, and real-time reporting. • Build robust unit economics models, monitor profitability by product, region, or customer segment, and suggest interventions to maximize ROI. • Develop and implement financial frameworks for pricing, cost allocation, and margin analysis that align with business objectives. • Collaborate with sales, operations, and delivery teams to identify revenue leakage and improve billing cycles and project profitability. • Design and manage KPIs and dashboards to track financial performance across key business verticals. • Lead business case preparation for new projects, product launches, or geographic expansions. Operational Cost Optimization: • Evaluate current cost structures and implement lean financial practices that drive efficiency without compromising quality or scale. • Continuously identify areas of cost rationalization across functions such as procurement, manpower planning, delivery, and infrastructure. FP&A and Strategic Planning: • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning cycles with deep involvement from cross-functional stakeholders. • Present financial forecasts, risks, and opportunities to leadership with actionable recommendations. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: • Serve as a finance advisor to leadership on operational initiatives and strategic pivots. • Build a high-trust environment between finance and business teams, bridging communication gaps and creating transparency. Qualifications: • Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institute. • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in business finance, preferably in EdTech, or technology driven companies. • Strong command over P&L ownership, cost optimization, and business modelling. • Expertise in forecasting, revenue planning, cost controls, and variance analysis.
