Associate Dean (Applied Finance & Wealth Management)

Job Description

We invite applications for the role of Associate Dean, who will work closely with the Program Director to lead the end-to-end conceptualisation and delivery of the Master of Applied Finance and Wealth Management program. Key Responsibilities: A. Program Delivery 1. Promote and nurture a student-centric learning environment to ensure academic rigor and high-quality program learning outcomes for the assigned cohorts. Ensure seamless academic delivery, and assess the overall quality of the student learning experience. 2. Collaborate with the Area Head of Finance and faculty to ensure course content is delivered as per approved outlines, maintaining high academic standards. 3. Oversee day-to-day functioning of the program in coordination with the Program Office, ensuring timely conduct of exams and the release of results. 4. Monitor and implement academic policies such as Student at Risk (SAR) and academic misconduct, as per policy guidelines. 5. Ensure an overall positive student experience, as reflected in student feedback. 6. Provide periodic reports regarding student progress and follow-up actions. 7. Assist with planning and implementing orientation and re-orientation activities for assigned cohorts. 8. Play a key role in creating or revising academic curriculum. 9. Identify and recruit qualified faculty with expertise in finance and wealth management to ensure high-quality academic delivery. 10. Develop and implement student engagement initiatives to foster a supportive and interactive learning environment. 11. Coordinate with industry experts to schedule guest lectures that provide practical insights and real-world perspectives. 12. Address academic and administrative issues promptly to ensure smooth program delivery. B. Admissions Responsibilities 1. Work with the Student Recruitment team to meet enrollment targets. 2. Secure corporate sponsorships to support student admissions. 3. Collaborate with the digital marketing and Public Relations teams to promote the program. 4. Lead information sessions to attract prospective students and provide them with detailed program information. C. Placements Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with the corporate relations team to ensure all students seeking employment in India are successfully placed. 2. Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to facilitate student placements. 3. Organize placement drives and career fairs to connect students with potential employers. 4. Provide career counselling and support to students throughout the placement process. D. Student Interactions 1. Conduct bi-monthly Academic Committee meetings and address classroom discipline, attendance, and other student issues. 2. Host periodic Town Hall meetings to address student concerns. 3. Counsel students identified as ‘students at risk’ and develop effective intervention strategies. E. Global Learning and Student Life 1. Collaborate with the Global Learning team to implement immersive activities that enhance student global immersion and adaptability.
