Chief Manager

Duties

• Manage and supervise a diverse team of security analysts within the SOC, including oversight of hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and deliver structured solutions to day-to-day SOC operational challenges, provide strategic direction, and drive continual enhancement of SOC services.
• Oversee the monitoring of facility alarms and coordinate immediate response and support during major crises and emergencies, ensuring protection of company assets across the designated regions.
• Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Security & Preparedness (ES&P) team to achieve and maintain high SOC service levels, including the identification and development of operational metrics for objective performance review.
• Design, document, and implement robust procedures for the SOC operations, including incident response and vulnerability management protocols.
• Undertake regular risk assessments of the ETEC facilities to ensure the security of Deere’s assets through appropriate levels of security support. This will include conducting site security audits and implementing proactive measures to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
• Drive automation of security-related processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage a guard force comprising personnel from the contracted guarding company, ensuring they provide effective security support as well as adherence to all statutory compliance requirements.
• Provide safety and security support for executive visits.
• Establish and maintain effective liaison with local administration and relevant authorities.
  

Required

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder management.
• Experience in managing a regional SOC at a supervisor level preferred, to include experience in incident management and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and regions
• The ideal candidate will also bring a strong background in security operations with experience in physical security, electronic security, and security incident investigations.

• Knowledge of SOC tools, technologies, and best practices an advantage.
  

Education

• Graduate / Postgraduate degree.
