(2) Lead community intervention initiatives within the operational catchment area, ensuring deep understanding of local socio-economic dynamics, traditional practices, and community hierarchies;
(4) Conduct Social Risk and Community Assessment research including stakeholder mapping exercises to analyze potential opposition and identify strategic engagement opportunities.
(1) Establish and maintain strategic relationships with elected local government executives, district administration, and political stakeholders;
(3) Maintain constructive relationships with district collectors, tehsildars, block development officers, and other government executives.
(2) Facilitate two-way communication by effectively presenting management perspectives and constraints to community stakeholders while advocating for community needs to senior leadership;
(3) Establish Community Advisory Councils at site and district levels comprising traditional leaders, youth representatives, women's groups, and local business leaders.
(1) Build and maintain comprehensive stakeholder networks including community leaders, local influencers, NGOs, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and business associations;
(2) Organize regular community dialogues including town halls, village assemblies, focus group discussions, and one-on-one meetings with key stakeholders;
(1) Establish sophisticated early warning systems to detect potential community unrest, land disputes, environmental concerns, or operational disruptions before escalation
(2) Develop and implement conflict resolution mechanisms including mediation processes, grievance redressal systems, and community feedback loops;
(3) Manage end-to-end grievance resolution from complaint registration through investigation, resolution, and follow-up, maintaining detailed grievance registers.
(1) Champion local employment initiatives by partnering with HR teams to prioritize local hiring, skills development, and women's/youth engagement programs;
(3) Support development of local enterprises through capacity building, technical assistance, and access to markets.

(2) Prepare detailed periodic reports for the Community Management Body, senior leadership, and Board of Directors on community relations health and strategic recommendations;
(3) Conduct regular community perception surveys and stakeholder satisfaction assessments.
(1) Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Rural Development, Community Development, Political Science, or related fields;
(2) Additional certifications in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, or community development preferred.
(1) Minimum 15-20 years of progressive experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, or CSR/NGOs, with specific focus on mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, or extractive industry sectors;
(2) Demonstrated experience in North India/ Rajasthan or similar mining regions with complex socio-political dynamics;
(3) Proven track record of successfully resolving community conflicts and building sustainable partnerships in challenging environments;
(4) Experience in political liaison and government relations at district, state, and local levels;
(5) Experience in catchment area community intervention with extractive or heavy industries;
(6) Experience with international mining companies – especially working with or leading their Social Performance programs - a bonus.

(2) Strong relationships with local elected representatives, traditional leaders, and community influencers;
(3) Connections with academic institutions, development organizations, and civil society groups.
Exceptional relationship-building skills with ability to establish trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
Deep understanding of socio-political dynamics in rural and semi-urban India, particularly in mining regions.
(1) Crisis management experience in high-pressure, conflict-prone environments;
(2) Project management skills for coordinating multiple community initiatives simultaneously.
(1) Ability to utilize systems-based thinking to design programs the minimize social risk, thereby balancing stakeholder-centric and system/policy-driven action;
(2) Desire to develop new systems, in line with global principles of social performance, human rights, and natural justice to enhance social license to operate.
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is INR 50-60 lacs per annum. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
