Job Title: Sales Manager Location Chennai. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth in the chemical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical products, market trends, and customer relationship management. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Import and Retail Sales Strategy: Ø Develop and implement sales strategies for imported chemical products in retail markets. Ø Identify and target new retail opportunities to expand market reach. Ø Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay competitive. Supply Chain and Import Management: Ø Coordinate with international suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective import of chemical products. Ø Manage import regulations. Ø Ensure proper storage and handling of imported chemicals to maintain quality. Retail Distribution Management: Ø Build and maintain strong relationships with Customer. Ø Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Team Leadership: Ø Lead and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets. Ø Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for team members. Ø Set clear sales objectives and monitor progress toward goals. Product Knowledge and Compliance: Ø Maintain a deep understanding of imported chemical products, their applications, and safety guidelines. Ø Educate retailers and customers on product benefits and usage. Sales Performance Monitoring: Ø Track sales performance and prepare regular reports for senior management. Ø Use data analytics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes. Ø Ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting for import and retail sales activities. Marketing and Promotion: Ø Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns for imported chemical products. Ø Attend trade shows, industry events, and retailer meetings to promote products and build brand awareness. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering. Experience: ü Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience, preferably in the chemical industry. ü At least 2-3 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role. ü Knowledge of Sales-CRM Software / Sales Reporting to Management Soft Skills: ü Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. ü Strong leadership and team management abilities. ü Analytical mind set with problem-solving skills. Industry Knowledge: ü In-depth understanding of the chemical market, including key players, trends, and customer needs. ü Awareness of global and regional market dynamics.
