Job Description

Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Prepare and maintain financial statements as per IRDAI & statutory guidelines. Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS), Companies Act, and Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) norms. Manage premium collection, claim disbursements, reinsurance accounting, and reconciliation of insurance transactions. Audit & Compliance Conduct internal audits of insurance operations (underwriting, claims, policy issuance). Coordinate with statutory and regulatory auditors. Ensure timely compliance with IRDAI,GST, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements. Taxation & Regulatory Filings Handle direct and indirect taxation matters (GST on insurance premium, TDS on commission payouts, corporate tax). File returns, respond to tax notices, and manage assessments. Budgeting & MIS Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide management with MIS reports on financial performance, solvency margins, profitability ratios, claim ratios, etc. Risk Management & Controls Review internal controls to prevent financial leakages and fraud in claims/commissions. Assist in solvency compliance and capital adequacy monitoring. Skills & Qualifications Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with valid ICAI membership. post-qualification experience in insurance / financial services sector preferred. Strong knowledge of IRDAI regulations, Ind-AS, GST, and corporate taxation. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or insurance-specific systems). Analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication. Compensation
