Role Overview

strategic and commercially savvy Category Manager

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy, P&L & Growth

  • Own and manage the

    P&L for the IVD or Dental category

    , ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.
  • Develop and execute category strategies to increase market share and customer engagement.
  • Identify new opportunities, suppliers, and innovations to expand the category.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Establish strong vendor partnerships to ensure quality, pricing competitiveness, and supply chain reliability.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contracts, and partnerships to create long-term value.

Portfolio & Product Management

  • Manage product lifecycle, assortment planning, and pricing strategies to meet market needs.
  • Collaborate with tech and product teams to enhance customer experience on the B2B platform.

Market Research & Analytics

  • Analyze category performance, competitor activities, and market trends to drive informed decisions.
  • Use data insights to optimize pricing, product selection, and inventory planning.

Sales & Marketing Enablement

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams for category campaigns, promotions, and training.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for new product launches.

Supply Chain & Operations Coordination

  • Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and smooth fulfillment.
  • Implement demand forecasting and planning strategies to minimize stock-outs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Life Sciences, Dentistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related fields

    ; MBA preferred.
  • 5–15 years of experience

    in category management, product management, or procurement in healthcare, IVD, or dental sectors.
  • Experience with

    P&L management

    and commercial ownership in a B2B or e-commerce platform.
  • Proven track record in

    vendor negotiations, portfolio growth, and pricing strategy

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
