  • Gurugram

  • Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.

    YOUR IMPACT

You will join our Gurugram office as part of the global Capabilities and Insights (C&I) team within the broader People and Organizational Performance (POP) practice. As a member of our global knowledge network, comprising more than 1,800 knowledge professionals, you’ll collaborate closely with consultants and clients to develop distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge.

POP C&I is part of the global Research and Development fabric for the POP practice, focused on developing, codifying, sanitizing, and managing research-backed knowledge assets such as proprietary documents, assets, and proposals. The team collaborates closely with other parts of the practice, such as analytics and solutions, offering an optimal mix of research and integrated client service within broader client teams.

McKinsey’s POP practice is a trusted adviser to the world’s leading businesses and institutions on their most important organizational opportunities and challenges. With over 800 consultants and experts globally, and our proprietary data and analytics, POP supports clients across topics including culture & change, organizational design, leadership & learning, talent, merger management, digital & analytics organization, and CEO & board excellence.

As a Capabilities and Insights Analyst, you will leverage a strong understanding of key trends, issues, and concepts within the People and Organizational Performance domain to efficiently respond to complex research questions. You will synthesize information to actionable facts and insights for consulting teams and clients. Collaborating with senior knowledge professionals, you’ll contribute to larger client projects and internal knowledge-building initiatives.

By collecting and analyzing data from databases and other primary and secondary research sources, you will build strong fact bases and use this to counsel consultants and clients on relevant business and organizational trends. You will deliver insights and analysis that inform client problem-solving and decision-making.

Your day-to-day work will involve identifying critical issues, selecting the most suitable research approaches, and balancing quality, timeliness, and cost considerations. You will likely conduct analyses such as benchmarking, trend identification, and opportunity scanning to add value to problem-solving discussions. You will deliver synthesized insights and client implications within tight deadlines via end products such as PowerPoint charts, written memos, models, and frameworks.

Over time, you will also participate in, and eventually lead, internal capability-building and knowledge development initiatives. You will use advanced analytics tools to prepare and analyze large datasets to distill insights including our proprietary solutions (such as the Organizational Health Index, OrgLab, and others). You will learn and apply the full suite of Generative AI toolkit at the firm to augment your own learning and to complement your existing strong hold on digital toolkit.

    YOUR GROWTH

Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.

In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.

When you join us, you will have:

    • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
    • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You’ll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
    • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm’s diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
    • World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Master’s degree or PhD in Organizational Behaviour, Industrial Psychology, Behavioural Economics, Human Resources, Sociology, or a related field.
    • Work experience of human capital and Organizational design consulting will be a plus.
    • Previous experience in developing and analyzing surveys and/or developing insights.
