Role Overview:

 

The Business Manager – Transportation and Railways will be responsible for driving business growth across the Auto and Railways segments within the Mobility vertical. This role demands strong client relationship management, strategic business development, and operational excellence to meet revenue targets and ensure project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a results-driven mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management (Auto & Railways)

  • Manage and nurture relationships with top 25 clients in the mobility vertical.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client communications and escalations.
  • Promote company culture and values in all client interactions.

2. Digital Opportunity Creation & Business Development

  • Identify and create at least one new business opportunity per week through digital channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to convert leads into actionable projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align business goals and customer needs.

3. Marketing & Strategic Partnerships

  • Onboard 2 new strategic partners or consultants per month.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to support business growth.
  • Build and maintain a network of industry contacts and collaborators.

4. Order Booking & Revenue Achievement

  • Achieve quarterly order booking targets averaging ₹5 Cr, with an annual target of ₹20 Cr.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accountability for revenue generation and forecasting.

5. Sales Pipeline Management

  • Maintain a healthy and dynamic sales pipeline.
  • Share market intelligence and insights with internal teams to support strategic decisions.

6. Account Management – Mobility Clients

  • Ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction across all mobility accounts.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve service levels.

7. WIP Ratio Monitoring

  • Monitor and manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) for Auto & Proto projects (₹8.5 Cr) and Rail projects (₹2 Cr).
  • Ensure timely execution and billing of ongoing projects.

8. KPI Monitoring & Reporting

  • Review and report weekly KPIs for the mobility vertical.
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend improvement strategies.

9. Invoicing & Collections

  • Ensure timely invoicing and collections from mobility clients.
  • Regulate purchase orders and invoices to maintain financial discipline.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field.
  • More than 10 years of experience in transportation, automotive, or railway sectors.
  • Proven track record in business development and client management.
