Job Description

The Opportunity:

Business Head

You will be the architect of our B2B success, building and scaling this new business vertical from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & B2B Transformation:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to transition an existing B2C content platform to a profitable B2B marketing solutions agency.
  • Define and refine the B2B service offerings, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of alcobev brands in India.
  • Drive the company's positioning as a thought leader and trusted partner in the alcobev marketing space.

P&L Management:

  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the B2B business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue growth, profitability targets, and market share objectives.

Business Development & Sales Leadership (Alcobev Sector):

  • Lead all B2B sales and business development efforts, personally driving key account acquisition and building a robust client pipeline.
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with marketing heads, brand managers, and decision-makers within domestic and international alcobev companies.
  • Develop and negotiate high-value contracts and strategic partnerships.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling sales proposals and presentations.

Marketing Strategy & Execution (for B2B Services):

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy to promote B2B services, including digital marketing, industry event participation, PR, and content marketing.
  • Oversee the development of B2B marketing collateral and case studies.
  • Ensure the current B2C brand messaging effectively communicates its new B2B value proposition.

Distribution & Market Entry Consultation Oversight:

  • Leverage industry knowledge to guide the development and delivery of consultancy services for international brands looking to enter the Indian market, including insights on distribution channels, regulatory navigation, and market dynamics.
  • Build and manage a network of contacts within the Indian alcobev distribution ecosystem.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing B2B team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Define roles, set performance targets, and provide ongoing coaching and development.

Operational Excellence:

  • Establish and optimize processes for the delivery of new service lines, including experiential marketing, niche community engagement, IP creation, and brand partnerships.
  • Ensure seamless project management and client servicing.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Mandatory:

     Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience within the 

    Indian alcobev industry

     is essential.
  • Proven P&L Responsibility:

     Demonstrated success in managing a business unit or company with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong Sales, Marketing & Distribution Acumen:

     Extensive experience and a proven track record in sales, marketing, and a solid understanding of distribution channels and strategies within the Indian alcobev sector.
  • B2B Business Development Expertise:

     Tangible experience in developing and winning B2B business, ideally service-based, with a strong network of contacts in the alcobev industry.
  • Strategic Thinker & Executor:

     Ability to develop a strategic vision and translate it into actionable plans and tangible results.
  • Leadership & Team Building Skills:

     Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset:

     Proactive, results-oriented, with a passion for building new ventures and driving growth.
  • Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills:

     Ability to articulate a clear vision, build strong relationships, and negotiate effectively at senior levels.
  • Understanding of Experiential Marketing & Brand Partnerships:

     Familiarity with conceptualizing and executing experiential marketing campaigns, forging brand partnerships, and ideally, creating intellectual properties (IPs).
  • Regulatory Knowledge:

     Good understanding of the Indian regulatory landscape for alcoholic beverages.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a reputed institution is preferred.


Desirable:

  • Experience in a leadership role at a marketing agency or consultancy focused on the alcobev sector.
  • Direct experience in launching international alcobev brands in India.
  • Existing strong relationships with premium hotel chains, luxury automobile, and lifestyle brands.
