Wonderla Amusement Park is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to expand our business in the away market, tour operators, travel agent market, establish strategic tie-ups, and tap into the inbound tourist segment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, sales, and marketing within the tourism and entertainment industry. This role requires a creative thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:


Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the away market, tour operators, travel agent market, and inbound tourist segment. Develop comprehensive business development strategies to expand our presence in these markets.


Partnership Development:

Identify and approach potential tour operators, travel agents, and other partners for collaboration. Negotiate and establish partnerships to promote Wonderla Amusement Park as a preferred destination for tourists.


Sales and Revenue Generation:

Drive sales initiatives to meet revenue targets set for the away market and inbound tourists. Create attractive packages and offers for tour operators and travel agents to promote Wonderla Amusement Park.


Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly. Provide excellent customer service to partners, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.


Marketing and Promotions:

Work closely with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns targeting the away market and inbound tourists. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make necessary adjustments to optimize results.


Innovation and Product Development:

Stay updated with industry trends and customer preferences to propose new attractions or services that cater to the needs of the target audience. Collaborate with the operations team to enhance visitor experiences and create unique offerings.


Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare regular reports on market trends, sales performance, and partnership activities. Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.



Qualifications and Skills:


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the tourism and entertainment industry.

Strong understanding of the away market, tour operators, travel agent market, and inbound tourist segment.
