JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager – E-commerce LOCATION: Thane ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to join our growing e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will have 5–6 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the e-commerce or retail industry. Your primary objective will be to develop and execute growth strategies, drive revenue and build strong client relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, channels, and partners aligned with revenue goals. Onboard, and manage key brand partners, suppliers, and third-party sellers. Build and nurture long-term relationships to increase product listings, assortment depth, and margin improvement. Drive end-to-end 1st phase of sales cycle from lead generation to handover to the category team. Maintain and expand pipeline through CRM tools, analytics, and proactive outreach. Monitor sales metrics and prepare performance reports for senior management. Work closely with marketing, operations, merchandising, and tech teams to align sales initiatives with product and platform improvements. Collaborate on promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, and pricing strategies. Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour. Use insights to propose new initiatives, product categories, or expansion strategies. Analyse pricing strategies, promotions, and customer acquisition costs to improve profitability. Recommend upselling/cross-selling opportunities and drive repeat business. REQUIRED EXP: 5–6 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in the e-commerce, retail. Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), and digital sales channels. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with an execution-focused mindset. Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred. Show more Show less
