Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue of the organization. We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with experience in education sales to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, ensuring alignment with client needs and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education industry (schools, colleges, universities, training centers, edtech platforms, etc.).
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in educational institutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Present company products and solutions through demonstrations, presentations, and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design campaigns and strategies for lead generation.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and partnership terms to close deals profitably.
  • Track business development metrics, prepare performance reports, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company at educational fairs, seminars, and networking events.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the education ecosystem, policy changes, and technological advancements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within the education or edtech industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to identify market opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and events.

  • New partnerships or institutional clients acquired.
  • Revenue growth and sales conversion rate.
  • Client retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Expansion into new markets or product lines.
  • Achievement of quarterly and annual business targets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
