📌 Key Roles & Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager1. Lead Generation & Qualification Identify potential clients through research, networking, and digital tools. Qualify leads based on fit with company offerings and likelihood of conversion. 2. Market Research & Analysis Analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs. Use insights to inform business strategies and identify new opportunities. 3. Strategic Planning Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with company goals. Set KPIs and monitor performance to ensure targets are met. 4. Sales Process Management Collaborate with the sales team to streamline processes. Support in crafting proposals, presentations, and pitches. 5. Relationship Building & Networking Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Attend industry events and conferences to expand the company’s network. 6. Proposal Development & Negotiation Create compelling business proposals tailored to client needs. Negotiate contracts and close deals that benefit both parties. 7. Client Relationship Management Ensure client satisfaction and retention through regular engagement. Address concerns and provide solutions to maintain long-term partnerships. 8. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with marketing, product, and finance teams to align efforts. Ensure smooth execution of business development initiatives. 9. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Track business development metrics and report progress to leadership. Adjust strategies based on performance data and feedback. 10. Brand Advocacy Represent the company in public forums and promote its value proposition.
