Job Description – Business Development Manager (BDM)

Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 3–8 Years and (Preferred: EdTech / University Tie-ups / Academic Partnerships)
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth by building partnerships with Universities, Colleges, Training Institutes, and Corporate Clients. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the EdTech sector, managing academic collaborations, student enrolments, B2B partnerships, and achieving consistent revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Growth & Revenue

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Drive student enrolments for courses, trainings, certification programs, or university partnerships.

2. University & College Tie-Ups

  • Identify and establish partnerships with universities, colleges, and educational institutions.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding of academic partners.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and product demos for university officials and committees.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing partners to ensure continued business.
  • Provide regular support, follow-ups, and solutions to partner institutions.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

4. Market Research & Strategy

  • Study competitor offerings, student trends, and industry changes.
  • Provide insights to management for new product development and pricing strategies.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, academic, and sales teams.
  • Coordinate events such as seminars, webinars, campus drives, and workshops.
  • Ensure smooth execution of partnerships and campaigns.

Skills & QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree/MBA in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in EdTech, Higher Education, University Relations, or Academic Sales.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of B2B sales and achieving revenue targets.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and institutional visits.

Preferred

  • Experience in online learning, certification programs, LMS platforms, or career-oriented courses.
  • Network of university/college contacts (placement officers, directors, HODs).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
