Position Title: Business Development Executive

Department: Sales & Marketing

Location: PAMS ENGINEERING, Hootagalli Industrial Area, Mysore.

Reports To: Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

The Business Development Executive in the automobile manufacturing industry is responsible for driving growth and expansion opportunities for the company. This includes identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and increasing revenue streams through strategic sales and marketing efforts. The role requires a keen understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive activities within the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Analyze market dynamics to develop strategic plans for entering new markets and increasing sales.
  • Lead Generation & Sales Strategy:
  • Generate new business leads by identifying potential clients (OEMs, tier suppliers, distributors, etc.) within the automotive sector.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in existing and prospective clients.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various internal teams (e.g., engineering, production, marketing) to ensure alignment in customer requirements and expectations.
  • Product/Service Promotion:
  • Promote and present the company’s products, services, and solutions to potential clients, addressing their unique needs.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and events related to the automotive industry to generate leads and enhance the company’s brand visibility.
  • Negotiation & Closing Deals:
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached.
  • Work towards closing sales by preparing proposals, contracts, and managing post-sales follow-up to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Customer Feedback & Support:
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights to the product development and engineering teams to support continuous improvement of products and services.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
  • Track and report on sales performance, including the number of leads, conversion rates, and revenue generation.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and present them to senior management for business planning.
  • Collaboration with Marketing:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align business development strategies with marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure effective communication of product features, benefits, and customer value propositions.

Key Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Sales & Marketing or Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the automobile or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successful sales and business expansion in the automotive sector.
  • Knowledge of the automotive manufacturing process, industry trends, and key market players.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM software, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Result-driven with a passion for sales and business development.
  • Additional Attributes:
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
  • Understanding of automotive supply chain dynamics and manufacturing processes is a plus.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time position
  • Occasional travel required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
