Role Purpose
Business Development Executive
Key Responsibilities
International Business Development
- Identify, target, and onboard global and regional shippers, corporates, and key accounts for international airfreight.
- Leverage personal network and market intelligence to capture new business and major project cargo opportunities.
- Develop “anywhere-to-anywhere” solutions, with focus on direct shippers and overseas agents.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and coach a sales team for maximum performance and professional growth.
- Set clear KPIs, review progress, and foster a high-performance, accountable culture.
- Support cross-functional teams (pricing, operations, documentation) for seamless customer experience.
Relationship & Key Account Management
- Build deep, lasting relationships with clients, airlines, overseas agents, and key trade partners.
- Maintain strong carrier/vendor rapport to secure competitive rates, best transit time, and space allocations.
- Act as a single point of contact for high-value and strategic accounts.
P&L Responsibility & Asset Mindset
- Be fully accountable for profit, cost control, and overall business growth of the international airfreight vertical.
- Ensure every action adds value—

; proactive in problem-solving, risk mitigation, and opportunity conversion. - Regularly analyse revenue, profitability, customer feedback, and market trends to maximize ROI.
Strategic Sales Planning
- Develop and execute robust sales plans aligned to company goals and market dynamics.
- Drive lead generation, pipeline management, and conversions through digital tools, CRM, and in-person engagement.
- Continuously monitor and report performance to management, with clear plans for corrective actions.
Compliance & Market Intelligence
- Stay updated with international trade regulations, airfreight trends, and compliance requirements.
- Educate team and clients on best practices, process optimization, and regulatory changes.
Candidate Profile – What We’re Looking For
- Graduate/Post Graduate (preferably in International Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain).
- Minimum 7-12 years of proven airfreight sales experience, with at least 3 years handling international clients/projects.
- Demonstrated team management and leadership capabilities.
- Strong network with shippers, airlines, and global freight partners.
- High accountability, result orientation, and entrepreneurial drive.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of airfreight pricing, operations, documentation, and international compliance.
Proactive, reliable, and a proven asset to employers
