Role Overview

Business Development Account Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle- from lead generation and prospecting to closing and account expansion
  • Engage with senior decision-makers (Strategy, Innovation, Procurement, Sustainability, etc.) at target organizations
  • Understand client challenges and position Cogent Estimates’ research products and consulting services as solutions
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing accounts and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities
  • Collaborate with the research and delivery teams to scope, price, and manage bespoke market intelligence projects
  • Stay up to date with developments in relevant market sectors to tailor outreach and pitches


Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development – preferably in consulting, market intelligence, or a related field
  • Proven ability to engage C-level and senior executives and communicate complex solutions effectively
  • Strong understanding of strategic business drivers in sustainability, energy transition, and industrial innovation
  • Self-starter with a consultative approach to selling and a track record of exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, insight-driven environment with cross-functional teams
