Saint-Gobain is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to lead the deployment and development of smart factory applications across Saint-Gobain’s global operations. The System Engineer will play a key role in scaling these applications across multiple factories, ensuring seamless integration with MES and automation systems.The ideal candidate will be part of Indec 4.0, the Global Competency Center for Saint-Gobain, serving all Industry 4.0 initiatives for over 1100 factories worldwide. You will design, develop, and deploy Smart-Factory applications across Saint-Gobain sites worldwide. Requires expertise in Project Management, Python, PLC, and SCADA, with the ability to work across teams, focus on customer needs, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesBUSINESS KNOWLEDGE1. Design and deliver functional solutions.2. Functional knowledge of business process with SAP, SAP S4 HANA integration experience.3. Lead, drive implementation of digitalization projects to improve business process and efficiency and value addition.4. Work with functional owners to optimize processes to achieve business goals5. Working knowledge across supply chain process, warehouse management, production and shipping activities.PROJECT RELATED SKILLS1. Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, BRD, FRD for development and support for developing solutions.2. Partner with business stakeholders across multiple plant teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for MES–SAP–WMS integration.3. Working experience with ticketing tools like service now, provide Level3 support and assist Level1 & Level2 activities for support in organization.4. Design functional architecture using process tools like Microsoft Visio with as is and to be methodology for developing visual representation.5. Develop technical user manual and conduct training for business users.6. Conducts post-implementation analysis to identify problems.7. Working knowledge in agile framework SDLC and tools like Jira, Confluence, MS office.8. Ability to provide functional trainings for the team in project.9. Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, SQL, IDOCS and BAPI structures.10. Knowledge of working experience in ERP – SAP across various modules and end to end integration with integrated systems and integrated applications.11. Demonstrated knowledge of SAP S/4HANA configuration requirements in the relevantOTHER SKILLS1. Good team player able to work across the multiple domains of the project team and communicate in business and IT terms.2. Solid skills in business operations, communications, customer and partner engagement, and internal team member management3. Have strong skills in presentation and explain complex concepts to multi-functional audience in a business setup.4. Act as SME for business analysis and deliver solutions.5. Strong team player with fluency in English; problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues/problems across global regions.6. Ability to perform deployments with data migration in ETL, data validation and smooth cutover activities for MES/LMS/WMS applications.7. Work with cross-function teams to identify bottlenecks and provide solutions and assess business impact.8. Ability to go through data, study, analyze and show required valuable business data in forms of KPI dashboards.9. Collaboration of technical teams to deliver robust solutions in application.Qualifications and Skills• Minimum 4-8 years of experience in Agile framework (SDLC) and tools like Jira, Confluence, Power BITechnical Skills:• Developing User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Use Cases, BRD, and FRD• Expertise in Process Optimization• Hands-on experience in SAP, SQL, IDOCs, BAPI structures• Experience working across various ERP – SAP modules
