Role purpose
Use knowledge of product / material master data and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes in combination with systems understanding to support the implementation of PLM in capability in Syngenta.As an expert for the PLM/Master Data landscape and business processes, lead elements of PLM process design, solution delivery, data migration and user testing and training, as well as supporting problem resolution as part of the Product Data operating model.Work with Product Managers in DP&I to drive continued exploitation and value extraction from the strategic PLM asset.
Accountabilities
- Work with the different functions and stakeholders to understand and translate the business needs relevant to PLCM into value / use cases for the development of the associated processes and systems (e.g. SAP PLM & MDG platforms).
- Actively contribute to the implementation and embedding of the PLM capability. Providing expertise on the PLM processes and systems.
- Withing the overall Product Data operating model, provide PLM process support and act as a key point of contact for end users.
- Provide education to users and SMEs, including development and maintenance of process documentation and training materials.
- Work with the business users and DP&I Product Manager(s) to drive additional value and data quality through process optimisation and automation related to PLM.
- Design, run and coordinate the User Acceptance Testing for changes and perform IST testing. Support changes during hypercare and enable transition into steady state.
- Build a deep understanding of product data as it is managed through the different relevant functions such as Regulatory, Formulation, Packaging, Procurement.
- Build knowledge and experimental mindset to leverage our data, including building knowledge on strategic technologies such as MDG, DataBricks and the use of AI.
- Support SMEs and Data Analysts to analyze the existing data sources for and how they need to be transformed to be ready for migration to PLM/MDG.
Qualifications
Knowledge, experience & capabilities
Knowledge
- Bachelor degree in chemistry and/or relevant/adjacent field
- Solid understanding of functional systems and data management
- Knowledge of Agile development & Operational Excellence are advantage
- Literate in Data and Analytics, understand how to structure and analyze data
- Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage
- Crop Protection, regulatory or production & supply knowledge is an advantage
Experience
- Experience in the relevant operation
- Project management experience is an advantage
- Working in a multi-cultural and complex matrix organization
- Functional experience in the use of systems, ideally SAP / master data systems
- Delivering training to users, translating concepts and system usage in business language
