Business Analyst

For a client of ours, we are looking for a Chief of Staff/Business Analyst to work closely with the CEO on business analytics, data insights, and strategic execution. This role will support leadership decision-making by translating data into actionable insights and driving follow-through on key priorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analytics & Data Insights

• Own and analyze key business metrics across sales, margins, inventory, store performance, marketing effectiveness, and customer trends.
• Build dashboards, MIS reports, and executive-level analytics to support decision-making.
• Identify patterns, risks, and opportunities from data and translate them into actionable insights for the CEO.
• Work closely with finance, merchandising, retail operations, and marketing teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

2. Strategic Planning & Execution Support

• Support the CEO in annual planning, quarterly reviews, and strategic initiatives.
• Track progress of key strategic priorities and follow through on execution.
• Prepare high-quality presentations, business reviews, and briefing notes for leadership discussions and board meetings.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on priority initiatives.

3. CEO Office & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as a thought partner to the CEO on business performance and operational challenges.
• Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure clarity, accountability, and follow-ups on key decisions.
• Structure problem statements, evaluate options, and support decision-making with data-backed recommendations.

4. Process & Governance

• Establish clear rhythms for business reviews, dashboards, and performance tracking.
• Improve decision-making processes by introducing structure, rigor, and clarity.
• Support governance mechanisms for strategic and cross-functional initiatives.

Profile

• 5–7 years of experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, or CEO’s office roles
• MBA from a reputed institute
• Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and stakeholder management
• Retail / consumer business experience preferred
