Job Description

Job Title: Brand Manager

Location - Dadar, Mumbai

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Brand Manager to lead the brand development, marketing initiatives, and GTM strategy for one of our key stationery categories. The ideal candidate will own the full lifecycle of the category — from market insights, product positioning, launch planning, to post-launch performance tracking. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Sourcing, Sales, Design, Trade Marketing, and Digital to deliver growth and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

1. GTM (Go-To-Market) Ownership

  • Lead end-to-end GTM planning and execution for new product launches and relaunches.
  • Align GTM plans with Sales, Product Development, Packaging, and Supply Chain.
  • Build and own the GTM calendar, defining timelines, assets, and activation plans.
  • Identify whitespace and new opportunity areas aligned with consumer trends.

2. Product & Portfolio Management

  • Develop product level strategy for the given category.
  • Work closely with the Product Development team on brief creation, product specs, packaging, and naming.
  • Define pricing architecture and portfolio strategy to meet consumer needs and competitive positioning.
  • Manage SKU rationalization and range optimization.

3. Consumer & Market Insights

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand market dynamics, category trends, and consumer behavior.
  • Analyze competition and gather on-ground insights from GT/B2B/B2C channels.
  • Track brand health metrics and category performance.

4. Marketing Campaigns & Activation

  • Conceptualize marketing plans including ATL, BTL, digital, influencer, and retail visibility along with the Mar comm team.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales to create effective retail and channel marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with the Digital team for D-commerce readiness, content, and performance marketing.
  • Interface with design teams for packaging and product creatives.

6. Performance Management

  • Own brand/category P&L metrics including revenue growth, market share, and gross margins.
  • Monitor monthly sales, market feedback, consumer complaints, and take corrective actions.
