Job Title: Branch Head – Loan Department Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Reports To: Regional Manager / Head of Operations Department: Loans / Credit Job Summary: The Branch Head of the Loan Department is responsible for overseeing all lending operations at the branch level. This role ensures effective loan processing, risk assessment, customer relationship management, and compliance with financial regulations. The Branch Head also leads a team of loan officers and plays a key role in achieving the branch's lending targets and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and Management Lead, manage, and mentor loan officers and support staff. Set performance targets and conduct regular appraisals. Ensure high levels of motivation, discipline, and accountability within the team. 2. Loan Operations Oversight Supervise the end-to-end loan process: application, approval, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery. Ensure timely and accurate credit evaluation and decision-making. Review and approve loans within assigned limits; escalate higher-value loans to regional/head office. 3. Business Development Develop and implement strategies to grow the loan portfolio. Identify new market segments and lending opportunities. Build relationships with existing and potential clients to drive business growth. 4. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor loan portfolio quality, delinquencies, and non-performing assets. Take corrective actions to minimize risk and ensure portfolio health. 5. Reporting and Analysis Prepare and present reports on loan performance, client feedback, and market trends. Provide input to strategic planning and branch-level decision-making. Analyze competitor offerings and suggest product improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role in the loan department. Strong knowledge of lending principles, credit analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory guidelines.
