Senior Biomedical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Support hospital projects for Biomedical Equipment Planning, Procurement, and SITC for India & overseas.
2. Plan biomedical equipment for all hospital verticals—Modular OT, ICU, IPD, OPD, and specialty departments.
3. Develop and maintain a vendor/OEM/supplier database to support lead generation and procurement.
4. Prepare project plans, cost estimates, and manage procurement of biomedical equipment as per project requirements.
5. Handle negotiations, estimation, bidding, proposals, and closing of contracts at approved margins.
6. Review and verify equipment specifications, performance parameters, system designs, layouts, and DBRs.
7. Provide advisory support for instrumentation in clinical environments and manage installation, adjustment, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment.
8. Arrange training for hospital facility teams on operation and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
9. Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
10. Prepare tender documents including design notes, technical specifications, approved makes, BOQs, data sheets, and T&Cs.
11. Prepare technical and commercial comparisons and evaluate suppliers/OEMs in both aspects.
12. Coordinate with clients and project managers; attend meetings and present design solutions.
13. Oversee complete SITC of biomedical equipment for healthcare projects.

1. Proven track record in estimating, costing, procurement, and SITC of biomedical equipment for hospital projects.
2. Strong experience in building and maintaining OEM/supplier databases.
3. Expertise in equipment selection and system evaluation.
4. Strong procurement and cost estimation skills for tenders and contracts.
5. Ability to collaborate with external engineering teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
6. Strong vendor and OEM relationship management skills.
7. Ability to prepare techno-commercial offers.
8. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, cost estimation tools, and SAP-CRM.
