Job Description

As a Medical Equipment Planner, your role involves the planning, coordination, and management of medical equipment for healthcare facility projects. This includes designing layouts, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. You will collaborate with healthcare providers, architects, engineers, project managers, and vendors to optimize resource utilization effectively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess and evaluate equipment needs based on healthcare facility requirements. - Develop equipment lists, layouts, and specifications aligned with clinical requirements and budget constraints. - Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure proper sizing, functionality, and spatial fit of equipment. - Collaborate with project stakeholders to integrate medical equipment planning into the overall project plan. - Monitor project timelines, coordinate equipment delivery schedules, and troubleshoot issues. - Research equipment options, negotiate pricing, and establish relationships with vendors. - Ensure equipment compliance with regulatory standards and facility operational goals. - Provide orientation, training, and support to staff on equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting. **Qualifications:** - Education: Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred). - Experience: 3+ years in medical equipment planning or healthcare facility design. - Knowledge: Familiarity with medical equipment, healthcare standards, regulatory compliance, and facility planning. - Skills: Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office Suite is advantageous. **Skills and Competencies:** - Analytical Ability: Assess needs, analyze requirements, and develop cost-effective solutions. - Attention to Detail: Ensure precise equipment specifications and installations meeting quality standards. - Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues effectively during project lifecycle. - Team Collaboration: Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
