Backend Sales Executive

Sales Calling & Customer Coordination

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to existing and prospective customers (B2B) to promote chemical raw materials used in paint and coating applications.
  • Follow up on enquiries, quotations, samples, and trial feedback.
  • Coordinate with customers for order confirmation, delivery schedules, and payment follow-ups.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and support.

Sales Operations & Order Processing

  • Prepare and share quotations, proforma invoices, and sales orders as per customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with production, dispatch, and logistics teams to ensure timely order execution.
  • Track order status and update customers on dispatch and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure accurate documentation related to orders, invoices etc.

Internal Coordination

  • Liaise with production, QC, R&D, and purchase teams for sample approvals, material availability
  • Coordinate sample dispatches and maintain sample records.
  • Support the field sales team with customer data, reports, and follow-up activities.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain customer master data, enquiry records, and sales follow-up logs.
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales activity reports and MIS as required by management.
  • Update CRM/ERP systems with sales activities and order details.

Compliance & Process Adherence

  • Ensure adherence to company sales policies/procedure, credit terms, and pricing approvals.
  • Follow internal SOPs related to sales operations and customer handling.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and pricing information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate in Commerce / Science / Chemistry or equivalent.
  • 13 years of experience in backend sales, inside sales, Business Development or sales coordination (chemical industry preferred).
  • Basic understanding of paint, coatings, or chemical raw materials is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/CRM systems, and email communication.
  • Good coordination and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
