As an Assistant Front Office Manager at our property, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Front Office Manager in overseeing front office operations and leading a team of staff members. Your responsibilities will include managing Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk areas to ensure a seamless check-in and check-out process for our guests. By working closely with managers and employees, you will uphold high standards of service, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive the financial performance of the department. To excel in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or GED along with at least 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a similar major can be considered with no prior work experience required. Your core work activities will involve setting and achieving guest services and front desk goals, handling guest complaints and conflicts, supervising staffing levels, and ensuring effective communication with employees to align with business objectives. You will also be responsible for supporting the management of the front desk team, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting exceptional customer service through proactive engagement and problem resolution. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing projects and policies related to customer recognition, credit procedures, room revenue maximization, and compliance with property standards. Your involvement in human resource activities will include supporting employee development, conducting interviews, facilitating orientation programs, and addressing employee concerns to ensure a motivated and engaged team.
