J ob Title: Associate Software Engineer
Location: Pune, India
Experience Required: 6 months to 2 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Associate Software Engineer with 6 months to 2 years of experience in software development. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C/C++, a solid understanding of object-oriented concepts, and familiarity with operating systems, databases, and middleware technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex systems and contribute to high-impact projects in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using C/C++.
  • Apply OOPS principles including inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation.
  • Utilize Templates, STL, Exception Handling, and Operator Overloading.
  • Work with advanced concepts like Multiple Inheritance and RTTI.
  • Understand and apply operating system fundamentals including memory management and virtual storage.
  • Use Unix commands for system monitoring and debugging (e.g., ps, pstack, pmap, vmstat, iostat, netstat).
  • Handle message queues (MQ), including message structure and conversion.
  • Optimize database queries using Oracle, indexes, and explain plans.
  • Analyze AWR reports and identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Independently research and resolve technical challenges.
  • Detect and resolve memory leaks and segmentation faults.
  • Understand transaction concepts and client-server architecture.
  • Work with CORBA and IDL for distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Strong understanding of OOPS , STL , and Templates .
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle 10g or higher and database optimization techniques.
  • Experience with middleware technologies , preferably Tuxedo .
  • Good analytical and logical reasoning skills.
  • Awareness of software engineering practices in design, coding, and testing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
