Role Overview

Associate Product Manager (APM)

You will own day‑to‑day product delivery for our Shopify storefront, improving the user journey end‑to‑end and lifting conversion. You’ll work closely with business, design, and engineering to ship features, maintain a clean release cadence, and keep the funnel numbers visible and improving.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Development: Manage the product lifecycle—discovery, specs/PRDs, acceptance criteria, delivery, and post‑launch iteration for the Shopify site (themes, apps, flows).

Agile Cadence: Run weekly backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand‑ups, demos, and retros, documenting decisions and next steps in our standard templates.

Performance Monitoring: Maintain a simple weekly analytics dashboard combining Shopify and internal reports for the core funnel (traffic add‑to‑cart voucher redemption customer satisfaction).

User‑Centric Development: Conduct structured monthly user feedback (interviews/surveys/heatmaps review) and competitor analysis; convert insights into prioritized problem statements.

Quality Gatekeeper: Lead cross‑device QA/UAT for functionality, performance, SEO, accessibility, and payment flows; give final sign‑off before each release.

Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure releases meet security, privacy, and accessibility guidelines (PCI/GDPR‑aligned, WCAG‑friendly).

Documentation: Maintain clear product specs, workflows, and user journeys so work is traceable and reproducible.

Who You Are (Ideal Candidate Traits)

Detail‑oriented: Crisp PRDs, unambiguous user stories, tight acceptance criteria.

User‑obsessed: You think in flows and friction, not just features.

Outcome‑driven: You care about uplift in funnel metrics, not just shipping.

Structured communicator: Clear status, risks, and decisions—no surprises.

Must‑Have Skills

Experience: 1–3 years in product/project roles for e‑commerce or consumer products (Shopify experience preferred).

Shopify Comfort: Can work with themes/apps and partner with dev/design to improve UX and performance.

Analytics: Able to pull and interpret funnel data; confident with spreadsheets to do quick cuts and trends.

Fundamentals: Basic grasp of HTML/CSS/JS to communicate effectively with developers.

Process: Comfortable running agile rituals and maintaining tidy backlogs and release notes.

Good‑to‑Have

Experience in D2C/e‑commerce, vouchers/gift cards, or EdTech.

Exposure to A/B testing concepts and simple experiment design.

Wireframing capability (any standard tool) for low‑fi flows.

Shipped win: At least one measurable UX improvement live with impact reported.
