A Day in Your Life at MKS: We are seeking a dedicated IT Field Service Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for our clients. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of IT systems, and the ability to work independently. The IT Field Service Officer will report to the Manager of Field Service Operations (FSO) and will also handle purchase orders and some network-related tasks. You Will Make an Impact By: Provide on-site technical support and maintenance for IT systems and hardware. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and network systems. Install, configure, and upgrade IT equipment and software. Conduct regular maintenance checks and ensure all systems are functioning optimally. Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT solutions. Document all service activities and maintain accurate records. Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and applications. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Handle purchase orders, including processing, tracking, and ensuring timely delivery of IT equipment and supplies. Assist with network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting as needed. Skills You Bring: Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Knowledge of network setup, configuration, and maintenance. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues efficiently. Ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills to provide support and build positive relationships with clients. Patience and empathy when dealing with user issues. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records of service activities. Technical Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous. Purchase Order Management: Experience with processing and tracking purchase orders. Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing environments. Willingness to continuously learn and improve technical skills. Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other IT professionals. Willingness to share knowledge and assist colleagues. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry IT equipment as needed. Willingness to travel to client sites regularly.
