Tech Product Owner role is responsible for overseeing technology solution design, delivery of tech products to enable the realization of business outcomes, as well as the smooth transition into BAU and Technology Execution and Support teams.
This role is crucial in ensuring our finance-focused applications provide efficient, accurate, and user-friendly workflows for our customers. The individual will collaborate with the Finance Business Owners and FFP Delivery leads for various workstreams as their key Technology partner on the day-to-day execution of the FFP plan. This role will require a strong understanding of both technology (i.e. Data architecture, Data governance, Data integration engineering) and business domains (i.e. Insurance Processes, Finance, Policy, Claims, Actuarial model results).
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise-level process automation, business operations, and the software development lifecycle.
Role and Responsibilities

Define and articulate a product vision that focuses on enhancing user experience in workflows for financial products.

Accountability of solution design recommendations, ensure alignment to global tech standards and roadmap, justification for recommendation in terms of business benefits and alignment to technology roadmap outcomes.

Provide timely and concise updates to Finance DPS Head and respective governance committees

Lead and motivate diverse teams of technical specialists (UX design, ServiceNow automation)

Synthesize user feedback to prioritize features that enhance usability and workflow efficiency

Analyze current processes to identify pain points and areas for improvement.

Backlog Management with detailed backlog of user stories, acceptance criteria with continuously refine priorities

Stay updated on UX best practices and trends relevant to financial applications.

Promote a culture of user-first thinking within the organization.

Facilitate collaboration between business (Finance / Actuarial) and technology stakeholders effectively in the co-creation of tech solution design ideas.

Coordinate effectively with tech delivery leads in the planning, execution of tech product delivery and transition to post go-live.

Qualifications

Experience Level: Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience, delivering Workflow & UX in finance or Fintech applications and proven track record to deliver user-friendly and efficient workflows within complex systems

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent level

Specific Skills: Agile/Scrum, TQM/BPR skills like Lean, Six Sigma or others similar. UX design skills

Certifications: Agile/Scrum, TQM/BPR like Lean, Six Sigma or others similar. UX design certification

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, enterprise-level products or automation initiatives.

Extensive experience with agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe, in a large, complex organizational environment.

Deep domain knowledge of enterprise applications, digital technologies, and automated systems.

TQM/BPR like Lean, Six Sigma or others similar & UX design & delivery skills.

Proficiency with UX tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Workflow documentation techniques, functional flowcharts

Knowledge of workflow applications (ServiceNow) with good expertise on workflow best practices & techniques in the market

Proficiency in technology project management frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
