To leverage on this and to expand into the northern&eastern geographies of India, Yara acquired Tata Chemicals’ 1.2 MN MT Urea plant in UP, Northern India. With this acquisition YaraIndia’s scale of operation has grown significantly. Role And Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance: Conducts preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of rotary and static equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, fans, reactors, heat exchangers, towers). Plans annual preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and ensures equipment history is maintained in SAP. Performs root cause analysis for equipment failures and implements corrective actions. Maintains proper inventory of spares and tools and initiates purchase when required. Reviews maintenance procedures and checklists, and ensures all jobs are completed in compliance with safety and operational protocols. Compliance, Safety and Continuous Improvement Ensures EHS and ISO standards are adhered to during all maintenance activities. Participates in audits, addresses non-conformities, and maintains housekeeping post maintenance. Contributes to cross-functional teams and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Leads and supports the execution of departmental goals and improvement projects (e.g., SDM initiatives). Coordination and Execution Collaborates with production, projects, and other departments to schedule and execute maintenance activities. Ensures contractor jobs are executed safely and efficiently. Estimates job requirements, prepares BOMs, issues material vouchers, and ensures procurement of materials. Communicates safety work permits (SWP), conducts risk assessments, and ensures effective troubleshooting during maintenance work. Preferred Skills Strong leadership capabilities to manage a team of 6–10 people. Proficiency in SAP (PM & MM modules) and MS Office. Solid understanding of root cause problem solving (Why-Why Analysis, RCPS). Effective communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Hindi. In-depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices in the petrochemical, petroleum, or fertilizer industry. Education And Experience Education: Candidate should be B.tech / B.E. – Mechanical from reputed College/University. Candidate should have scored minimum 60% in 10th, 12th & in B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Candidate Should have 2 to 5 years of Experience. Experience from fertilizer, petrochemical or petroleum industry will be preferred.
