Assistant Manager - Mechanical

Purpose/Objective

The Assistant Manager Mechanical will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of mechanical systems within the Copper Manufacturing Plant at Mundra. This role is integral to supporting Kutch Copper Ltd’s mission of empowering India’s manufacturing sector by reducing import dependency and enhancing self-reliance. The incumbent will focus on project execution, operations, and maintenance of mechanical systems, aligning with the plant’s strategic goals of operational excellence and technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems to ensure seamless plant operations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute mechanical projects within defined timelines and budgets. - Monitor and optimize the performance of mechanical systems to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability. - Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective and preventive measures. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards during mechanical operations and maintenance activities. - Support the Mechanical Lead in planning and executing predictive and preventive maintenance schedules. - Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot mechanical issues and minimize downtime. - Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing innovative solutions for mechanical processes. - Coordinate with vendors and contractors for the procurement, installation, and servicing of mechanical equipment. - Maintain detailed documentation of mechanical systems, including maintenance records, technical specifications, and operational manuals

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - 1–3 years of experience in mechanical operations, maintenance, or project execution within a manufacturing or heavy industry environment. - Proven expertise in handling mechanical systems and equipment in large-scale industrial setups
