Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager – Solar Rooftop (Operations) is responsible for managing end-to-end execution of solar rooftop projects, ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, safety adherence, and coordination among internal teams, vendors, and clients.Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Operations
Plan, execute, and monitor solar rooftop projects from site survey to commissioningEnsure projects are completed within defined timelines, cost, and quality standardsCoordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for smooth executionMonitor daily site activities and resolve operational issues promptlySite Management
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility assessmentsEnsure proper installation of solar panels, inverters, structures, and associated systemsEnsure adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, and standardsMaintain site documentation, progress reports, and checklistsVendor & Contractor Coordination
Coordinate with EPC vendors, contractors, and subcontractorsMonitor contractor performance, productivity, and complianceEnsure availability of materials, tools, and manpower at sitesQuality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and statutory regulationsConduct safety briefings and ensure use of PPE at sitesSupport audits, inspections, and quality checksEnsure adherence to DISCOM, electrical inspectorate, and MNRE guidelinesClient & Stakeholder Coordination
Act as a single point of contact for clients during project executionAddress client queries, concerns, and change requestsEnsure customer satisfaction through timely communication and deliveryDocumentation & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reportsMaintain project MIS, material consumption records, and site logsSupport handover documentation and commissioning reportsKey Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of solar rooftop systems and project executionUnderstanding of electrical and civil aspects of solar installationsProject coordination and team management skillsProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesGood communication and stakeholder management skillsEducational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
