The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing AWS workloads, assisting with cloud automation, monitoring, and security, and providing L2-level support for cloud-related incidents and escalations.This role involves day-to-day operations, incident management, troubleshooting, and cloud administration while working alongside senior engineers to enhance cloud infrastructure reliability and efficiency.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Operations & Support:Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and other core AWS services).Provide L2-level support for AWS incidents, escalations, and service requests.Troubleshoot AWS networking issues, security groups, IAM policies, and performance bottlenecks.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for cloud-related issues and document resolutions.Support AWS multi-account environments using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.

Automation & Infrastructure As Code (IaC)

Assist in automating AWS operations using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS Systems Manager (SSM).Write and modify PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripts for cloud automation.Implement basic CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

Security, Compliance & Governance

Monitor AWS security using AWS CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and IAM best practices.Enforce least privilege access controls, MFA, and AWS security best practices.Assist in AWS Backup and disaster recovery (DR) implementation.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization

Set up and manage AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, AWS Config, and third-party tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).Optimize AWS resources for cost, performance, and scalability.Assist with auto-scaling, load balancing, and right-sizing AWS resources.

Cloud Migration & Optimization

Support AWS migration projects, including data migration, VM conversions, and rehosting applications.Optimize AWS usage costs by analyzing usage reports and implementing cost-saving recommendations.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with L3 engineers, DevOps teams, and security teams to enhance AWS cloud infrastructure.Document procedures, SOPs, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles.Participate in AWS architecture and design discussions with senior engineers.
