Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our petrol pump. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sales and marketing activities, staff supervision, inventory control, customer service, and reporting. The role demands strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to ensure efficient and profitable operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Marketing Monitor daily fuel and non-fuel product sales. Implement and manage effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Plan and execute sales promotion activities. Analyze market trends and suggest marketing improvements. 2. Customer Relationship Management Ensure excellent customer service at all times. Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally. Build and maintain strong relationships with regular and fleet customers. 3. Human Resources & Staff Supervision Supervise and coordinate pump staff, cashiers, and support personnel. Maintain duty rosters and ensure optimal staff deployment. Assist in hiring, training, and motivating staff. Ensure staff adhere to company policies and safety standards. 4. Stock & Inventory Management Monitor fuel stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment. Track inventory of lubes, accessories, and other retail items. Minimize stock losses and ensure accurate record-keeping. 5. Reporting & Documentation Prepare and submit daily sales reports. Maintain stock, cash, and reconciliation reports. Submit weekly/monthly performance and operational reports to management. 6. Operational Management Oversee cleanliness, safety, and compliance at the pump. Coordinate with service technicians and vendors for maintenance and repairs. Ensure all equipment (STPs, dispensers, air machines, RO, etc.) is functioning properly. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred). Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales, operations, or customer service. Experience in fuel retail or related industry is a plus. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and basic accounting/reporting software. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multi-task effectively.
