Job Summary: As a merchandiser you would manage the flow of goods, ensuring they're available at the right time and in the right quantity to meet consumer demand. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Order Management and Costing: Have a strong understanding of the Apparel Production Process and costing Ability to coordinate tasks with the vendor and the sourcing team. Communicate with the Sourcing team to place orders and ensure timely delivery of merchandise. Adhere to quality parameters and timelines of production as per guidelines 2. Order Processing: Receive and review purchase orders to verify accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with stakeholders, such as warehouse and logistics, to ensure efficient and timely order fulfilment. Keep track of order status and update the stakeholders on delivery timelines. 3. Forecasting and Planning: Utilize forecasting tools and techniques to anticipate future inventory needs and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Adjust procurement plans based on changing market trends, seasonality, and promotional activities. 4. Assortment Building: Analyse historical sales data and market trends to build the seasonal assortment for the brand across categories and gender. Understand pricing strategy that needs to be implemented across different product types basis the competition survey and past trends Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Merchandising or Supply Chain Management or textile / apparel technology Proven experience in merchandising, procurement, sourcing, buying preferably in a private label/ apparel brand Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders. Knowledge of both Knitted and Woven Garments will be a plus Know how of activewear segment will be an added advantage Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to resolve issues efficiently. Experience in a Startup is a plus but not a mandate. Experience of minimum 4-5 years.
