Apparel Merchandiser

You will be working as an Apparel Merchandiser at Tiny Lane, an organization specializing in organic and sustainable baby clothing with operations based in Bangalore. In addition to e-commerce sales, we retail through hospital stores and primarily manufacture our products in South India. As an Apparel Merchandiser at Tiny Lane, you will play a crucial role in the sampling, management of production, costing, and mail communication processes. You will be responsible for sourcing new products through your vendor network or industry connections. Regular visits to factories to oversee production and the identification of new vendors based on business requirements will be part of your duties. Moreover, you will correspond with overseas buyers and liaise with third-party agencies for quality inspections. The ideal candidate for this role should have 2-5 years of experience in the Apparel industry and should possess good communication skills in English and Tamil. A basic understanding of fabrics and garments, as well as experience in managing factories or vendors, is crucial. Strong capabilities in sourcing, costing, and production management are also required. Being digitally savvy and proficient in MS Office applications and email correspondence is essential. This role requires you to be based in Bangalore and be open to travel as needed.
