Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Amazon Connect Technical Project Manager to lead complex cloud-based contact center projects within our enterprise software environment. In this role, you will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of Amazon Connect implementations, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure and enterprise systems. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for Amazon Connect deployments, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, and go-live activities.
- Develop detailed project plans utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Jira, and SharePoint to track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across IT infrastructure, software development teams, and business units to ensure alignment on project scope and objectives.
- Apply Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban within SAFe or other enterprise frameworks to facilitate iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Manage project schedules using tools like TFS, VersionOne, and Microsoft Office Suite while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards and PMBOK best practices.
- Oversee testing phases including user acceptance testing (UAT), test case creation, test-driven development practices, and defect resolution to ensure quality standards are met.
- Facilitate communication among technical teams and executive leadership through clear reporting on project status, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance policies related to disaster recovery, security protocols, and data privacy during all phases of project implementation.
- Lead release management activities including deployment planning, coordination with vendors or third-party providers, and post-launch support.
- Conduct requirements analysis related to databases such as SQL and Oracle; oversee integration with existing enterprise systems like Microsoft SharePoint or other collaboration tools.
- Manage vendor relationships when necessary for cloud computing services or specialized hardware/software components.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes and implementing lessons learned into future projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise software projects with a focus on cloud computing solutions like AWS (Amazon Web Services).
- Strong understanding of Amazon Connect platform architecture, features, and deployment best practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies including Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, SAFe frameworks, along with tools such as Jira, TFS, VersionOne, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes (Software Development Life Cycle), PMBOK standards, requirements gathering techniques, user acceptance testing (UAT), and test case development.
- Technical knowledge of databases including SQL Server and Oracle; experience integrating contact center solutions with enterprise IT infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Effective communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences; adept at negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and IT governance policies related to cloud services is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development practices such as test-driven development (TDD) or program management is a plus.
