Accounts Payable Officer

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our team. This role requires someone who can efficiently manage Sub-contractor and Supplier invoices, handle AP queries, and support payment processing across multiple Australian branches. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and previous experience working with Xero or similar accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Download and save Sub-contractor invoices from the AP mailbox.
• Review approved Sub-contractor invoices, perform audit checks, and add them to the pay run in F2020.
• Monitor the AP mailbox daily and respond promptly to Supplier and Sub-contractor queries.
• Upload and update Supplier invoices in Xero for all Australian branches.
• Review and reconcile Supplier/Sub-contractor statements upon receipt.
• Record planned payment dates in Xero as per instructions.
• Run the payment batch in Xero during the absence of the Senior AP Officer (SRI).

Requirements

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Experience using Xero (preferred) or other accounting software.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

• Model Town, Jalandhar, Punjab: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
